Create a New Menu Item
If you have to create a new page, view the Create a New web page tutorial. To simplay add a new link to an existing web page (either on this site or an external site), begin by going to the Menu administration page. Click the Add Item link.
Enter the title of your link (this is what will be shown in the menu) and path. The path field is the URL. For external sites, be sure to include "http://www" (without quotes). For internal links, format them like this "node/8" (without quotes). A description is not necessary, but if you want to add something, this will appear when a user rolls over the menu item.
All menu items are nested benath other menu items. For example, even though "How to Join" is a top-level menu item, it is nested below "Secondary Links." You can see from this screen capture that there are a few menu items nested below "How to Join." These are visible when you visit the "How to Join" page.
Choose the menu item you would like your new menu item nested below.
The weight field determines how high or low in the menu order you would like the item to be. A higher number (0 to -9) is higher in the menu, and lower numbers (1-9) are lower.
Click the Submit button, and you are finished. If the result isn't exactly what you need, you can go back and edit.
