Outreach

CPGR Outreach Program

In 2007, the Colorado Planned Giving Roundtable launched a new initiative to deliver our educational programs remotely to individuals who reside outside of the Denver Metro area. Nonprofit organizations and individuals can now access our events by phone and on-line. This remote program is designed to not only provide you with access to continuing education in the field of charitable giving, but also to help develop relationships among fundraising and planned giving professionals in your community.

How It Works

First someone volunteers to act as a "Host" that will offer the presentations in their local community. Presentations are accessed by phone for the audio portion of the presentation, and on-line simultaneously to view the speaker’s PowerPoint of the presentation. Most, although not all, of our speakers have a PowerPoint to accompany their presentation. Occasionally you will simply join the audio portion; however, you can still link into the program online to ask questions of the speakers.

Cost

Host sites are charged $50 per session.  Most of the time the Host site pays the $50 but some sites have found ways to cover the cost.  One site has secured a sponsor, another site charges a nominal fee to attendees.  CPGR invoices each Host after the session is held.  We offer the first session to each new site for FREE.

Who Will Be Interested in CPGR Programs

We welcome anyone involved in the charitable gift planning process. Nonprofit development professionals, legal and financial advisors and philanthropists will all benefit from information offered at CPGR programs.

Where Will Outreach Programs Be Held

Anyone may serve as the host of an Outreach Program. Organizations such as local community foundations, United Ways or resource centers are great locations for these meetings as they generally have a room and the AV equipment necessary to display PowerPoint presentations and call into the conference line for the audio portion of the presentation.

Marketing the Outreach Program in Your Community

CPGR will assist you in promoting the program to individuals in your community. Generally, the host organization will send out an email to nonprofit and estate planning professionals with details about the upcoming CPGR Program. Email lists of invitees will include CPGR members who live in your area. Community Foundations and local United Ways may also be willing share their lists with you as well. Which CPGR programs are available through our Outreach Program

All of our educational presentations, except for our annual Summer Symposium, are offered through the Outreach Program however host sites do not always sign up for each program.  When you see the email announcement for a program contact CPGR at cpgr@msn.com to find out if that program is available in your area.
1. Luncheon Programs (5 per year)
2. Brown Bag Programs (5-6 per year)
3. Technical Series (3 per year)
