How to create a new calendar event

Creating an event is almost exactly the same as creating a new page (detailed here ). The main difference is the addition of an event start selector (1), an event end selector (2), and a category selector (3).

Event items

Itmes 1 and 2 should be pretty self-explanatory. Set the start date and time of your event, then an end date and time. There is also an option for an all-day event. Just select the check box titled "All day."

Item 3 is important. There are two categories of events - CPGR and External. Both categories will appear in the calendar, but only events in the CPGR category will appear in the list on the home page. This allows you to enter events for partner organizations while still keeping a CPGR-only list of events.

 

The rest of the process for creating an event is exactly the same as creating a new page. You can add images, attach files, all of the things you can normally do.
