How to Manage Ads

Once your ad is in place, there are several things you can do with it. We will cover two of them here - removing an ad from the rotation, and getting statistics on ad clicks.

Part one - Removing an ad from rotation

When you are logged in with the propoer permissions, you will see an "admin" toolbar on the left side. Click the "Manage Ads" link.

Find the ad you would like to remove in the list. Click the "Edit" button.

We will not delete the ad, since we might need it later. To remove it from rotation, simply select the "offline" option.

If you want to go back later and return the ad to the rotation, you would edit the ad and select the "active" option.

You'll now see that your ad is offline, and thus removed from the rotation.

Part Two - Getting stats about your ads

To get statistics about your ads, click the "Site Content" link in the "Site Tools" toolbar.

Select the "type" option, and select "Advertisement" from the list. Click the "Filter" button.

Find the ad whose statistics you want to see from the list. Click it's link.

The resulting page has a good deal of information for your sponsors, including number of times the ad was viewed, and how many times (and when) it was clicked. This is handy if you need to report this information to your sponsors.
